Trip to Paris-Part Two

After a night of battling the dragons, we left Friday morning and stopped in Versailles on our way to Paris. We toured around the gardens and then took a guided tour through the museum. After a few hours, we continued on to our hotel in Paris. From Friday on, we really managed to pack in a lot of sight seeing over the weekend. Our hotel was located very close to the Eiffel Tower so that was stop one. We took the elevator up to the top and saw great views of the city at night. Friday night we also took an evening boat ride along the Seine River. A great way to see so many sights in a short time. Saturday morning we went to the Arc de Triumphe and then took a stroll along the Champs Elysees. We then sat outside in the warm sunshine and ate lunch at a quaint little cafe. That was my favorite part of the day. We lucked out and had great weather for Paris considering it was the end of February. The rest of the day we toured Notre Dame and then off to the Musee D'Orsay. Auston slept in the stroller during this period of time which was nice. So much walking for everyone especially the little guys. Sunday morning we visited the Louvre. The Louvre is free on Sundays so we toured the museum with the rest of the world. The kids actually loved the museum and especially the statues of all the Greek gods in the gardens surrounding the museum. The boys have really been into playing "legends" lately so they are intrigued with minotaurs, centaurs, Hercules, Zeus and the list goes on. It really was a great trip. Again, we packed a lot in but still had time to enjoy the little things like sitting at cafes, playing in the gardens and taking numerous carousel rides. (Sorry this entry is a little dry, it's basically just our itinerary! I am out of steam after many hours of blogging!)
